Vitro Architectural Glass has launched Sungate ThermL glass, a new low-emissivity (low-e) coating engineered for use on the interior surface of a typical one-inch insulating glass unit that reduces heat transfer and dramatically improves U-values when paired with a Solarban solar control low-e glass by Vitro on the second surface.

Glossary

Edge Seal (Spacer)

In insulating glazing, the edge seal (more commonly known as the spacer - because it keeps the individual panes of an IG unit apart) consists of aluminium, stainless steel or plastic profiles as well as solid plastic compounds.
