Glass for Europe: Here are upcoming changes to glass regulations

The new Glass for Europe website provides a comprehensive overview of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR 2024) and its potential impact on the glass industry.

Among other things, interested parties will find background information on CPR 2024 and the most important changes compared to the previous regulation and their significance for the marketing of construction products in the EU.

It also highlights new requirements for the flat glass industry and provides information on the planned sustainability criteria and the planned digital product passport.

How the new rules may affect CE marking and what steps are necessary to ensure conformity once the harmonised product standards have been revised and published.

Standardisation process: An outlook on the planned standardisation mandates (e.g. for glass in construction) and the role of CEN in the development of harmonised standards.

In addition, glass companies will find the important deadlines and transitional arrangements until full implementation between 2028 and 2032 – no fixed dates are available yet.
