Trade fair with a new look

Fensterbau Frontale 2026 focuses on sustainability and networking

Fensterbau Frontale will be presenting itself in a completely new guise at the upcoming 2026 edition. The world's leading trade fair for windows, doors, and facades is undergoing a complete brand relaunch with a new design, logo, and slogan. “The trade fair. Windows. Doors. Facades” is becoming “Framing what's next” – a signal of its ambition to set the framework for future developments in craftsmanship, architecture, and industry.

“The new design and logo create clarity, strengthen brand identity, and ensure high recognition across all communication channels,” explains Ramona Wißmüller, Head of Marketing at Fensterbau Frontale. The new slogan stands for the “trendsetting and international character” of the trade fair.

Sustainability as a central theme

Parallel to the brand relaunch, the trade fair is placing greater focus on sustainability and climate-proof construction. The highlight is the special show “klima.sicher.bauen” (climate-proof construction) in Hall 1, organized by NürnbergMesse in cooperation with ift Rosenheim. It shows “in a practical way how windows, doors, and facades can be designed to be climate-resilient and resource-efficient—for example, through heat-resistant surfaces, adaptive sun protection systems, recycling processes, or the use of renewable raw materials,” said Chiara Sträßner, Event Manager, in an interview.

Sustainability is also included as a “decisive criterion in the official evaluation form for the Fensterbau Frontale Innovation Award,” where an independent jury honors particularly forward-looking products.

New formats for exchange and knowledge transfer

The brand development is also reflected in the content: new formats such as the Future Room in Hall 7 and the Fensterbau Frontale Stage in Hall 4A focus specifically on exchange, inspiration, and knowledge transfer. “The trade fair is thus perceived not only as a product platform, but also as a space for thinking about the future of construction,” emphasizes Wißmüller.

Responses to industry challenges

The industry is currently struggling with a shortage of skilled workers, rising production costs, and a decline in new construction. “Every two years, Fensterbau Frontale brings together the international window, door, and facade industry in Nuremberg and promotes dialogue between manufacturers, suppliers, architects, and tradespeople,” explains Elke Harreiß, department manager. This helps “to find new ways and solutions together to meet the current challenges facing the industry.”

Exhibitors from all over the world showcased “innovative technologies, automation solutions, and new, sustainable materials that can make processes more efficient and cost-effective.”

Trade fair already very well booked

Fensterbau Frontale 2026 will take place from March 24 to 27 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center – parallel to Holz-Handwerk. According to the organizers, the trade fair is already very well booked. The conceptual sponsors are the Baden-Württemberg Glass, Window and Facade Association and the Bavarian Glaziers' Guild. The cooperation partner is ift Rosenheim.
