The Austrian specialist for the integration of solar systems has begun construction of its first modular solutions for solar facades across Europe. The company supplies its scalable and modular mounting systems to solar technicians, contractors and distributors. MO Energy Systems aims to activate several thousand facades per year across Europe via its partner network over the coming years.
One megawatt of solar facades built in six months
To this end, the company has already launched strategic partnerships and major projects in the commercial and public sectors in German-speaking countries in the course of this year. In total, MO Energy Systems and its specialist partners built integrated solar facades with a capacity of one megawatt in just the first half of 2024 – and many more since then, including further industrial projects with up to 500 kilowatts per installation.
Several large-scale projects implemented

In mid-2024, for example, the company built a solar facade with an area of around 1,100 square meters on a renovated office building in Sindelfingen, Germany. The system supplies up to 200,000 kilowatt hours of electricity for on-site consumption every year. At Bäumler Park in Hohenems in Austria, a solar facade from MO Energy Systems supplies abundant solar power.
The modules are integrated into all facades facing south, east and west. Covering an area of 650 square meters, they supply up to 140,000 kilowatt hours of electricity for the business park every year. The company has built a very special plant in the Austrian state of Styria. At an altitude of 1,400 meters, the middle station of the new Loser Panorama ropeway in the resort town of Altaussee has been equipped with a 900-square-meter solar facade.
The potential is huge
Further growth is planned. “We have broken into the single-digit million turnover range and have positive cash flow,” says Manuel Hehle, Managing Director of MO Energy Systems. “Our partners are activating real estate throughout Central Europe with our solar facade systems. There is still more to come; the market and the potential are enormous,” he is certain.
Arrived on the market
To this end, MO Energy Systems is constantly expanding its partner network to include solar installers and trade businesses. “Whether wood, concrete or brick, single-family homes, residential complexes, office buildings, production halls or public facilities: Our partners quickly and efficiently install solar facades on all types of buildings,” explains Alexander Moosbrugger, also Managing Director of MO Energy Systems.
“Our system has proven itself in practice. We have arrived on the market and are now taking the next step,” says Alexander Moosbrugger.
