Interview

Presenting the new event manager for FENSTERBAU FRONTALE: Chiara Sträßner

Ms Sträßner, what is your previous experience with trade fairs and events? What makes them special for you?

Chiara Sträßner: In my career to date, I have regularly been involved with trade fairs and events of various formats, both as a visitor and in an organizational capacity. Particularly in my last position, I was actively involved in the planning and implementation of trade fairs, congresses, concerts, children's events and public performances, where, among others, I was responsible for coordinating with customers and service providers, visitor management and follow-up work. This experience, especially at trade fairs, has shown me how important such events are as a platform for exchange, innovation and networking.

Trade fairs and events are special to me because they bring people and ideas together. They create a space that allows personal encounters, spontaneous conversations and creativity – something that is often lacking in digital communication. Every event has its own dynamic, and I am thrilled to be part of this lively exchange and to actively contribute to its design.

What are your goals and ideas for the future direction of FENSTERBAU FRONTALE?

Chiara Sträßner: I will continue to pursue the goal of consistently expanding FENSTERBAU FRONTALE as the leading international trade fair – both in terms of content and strategy. In doing so, its role as a driver of innovation and central platform for the industry will be continuously developed. Important topics such as sustainability, digitalization and overcoming skilled labour shortages will be given even greater focus. Together with our exhibitors and partners, we want to provide forward-looking momentum that will really push the industry. FENSTERBAU FRONTALE will remain a place that combines tradition and innovation and where personal encounters, practical solutions and international networks take centre stage. Together as a team, we will work even harder to achieve this.

The interview was conducted by the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE team.

The next FENSTERBAU FRONTALE will take place from March 24 to 27, 2026, in Nuremberg, in conjunction with HOLZ-HANDWERK, and is already very well booked. The event is sponsored by the Baden-Württemberg Glass, Window and Facade Association and the Bavarian Glaziers' Guild. The cooperation partner is ift Rosenheim.
