Sunovation is one of the leading companies in the field of solar power modules for facades and glass roofs. The company, which manufactures in Germany, can already point to the implementation of projects with above-average growth in the maturing market of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). With Sebastian Clausmeier, the medium-sized company has gained a new managing director with extensive experience in sales and business development from within its own ranks.
Heribert Ley, who has played a key role in shaping Sunovation in recent years and putting it on a path of growth, is stepping down from operational management after 14 years. He will continue to support the company as a contact person during a transition phase and, after taking retirement, will continue to guide its development as a shareholder.
New additions to management team
Sebastian Clausmeier joined the company as a product manager after completing his studies in industrial engineering at the Technical University of Aschaffenburg, Germany. In the following years, he developed into a BIPV expert. Most recently, as sales manager, he was responsible for national and international BIPV projects and, as an authorized signatory since 2023, played an important role in the strategic orientation of Sunovation.
The generational change and growth of the company are accompanied by an expansion of the management team. In the future, the management of sales, development and production of PV modules will be supported by an experienced production manager and a sales director.
