Hegla establishes new branch for Spain and Portugal

Under the leadership of Rui Joaquim, a proven industry expert who is also responsible for organization and service, the local team will be further expanded. The sales team will be formed together with long-standing Hegla partner Rolf Meyer, who will continue to be the first point of contact for customers in the region.

"Rui and Rolf have strong ties to Spain and Portugal and are recognized experts in the glass industry. Both know the requirements of our customers and are our guarantee for a sustainable and future-oriented partnership on site," emphasizes Hegla Managing Director Bernhard Hötger.

Focus on more automation for the glass industry

With the new branch, the Hegla Group is responding early to the changes in the Spanish and Portuguese glass industry. “The shortage of skilled workers and the higher demand for automation solutions have changed the requirements,” says Hegla Sales Director Toni Schön. “With Hegla Ibérica, we are ideally positioned to shape the future together with our customers – flexibly, in partnership and with the shortest possible response times.”

The team in Nigran will be gradually expanded by Rui Joaquim and Rolf Meyer and supplemented by local service staff. A spare parts warehouse will also be set up there, creating an infrastructure that is well equipped to meet the future requirements of the market, as the managers at Hegla emphasize.
