Lamilux:

Glass roof now prevents the spread of fire for 60 minutes

In the event of a fire, the fire-resistant glass roof ensures that flames do not spread to other parts of the building for at least 60 minutes. The glass roof also holds back smoke. In this regard, it has already been certified in accordance with the European standard EN 13501-2 with fire resistance class REI60. It has been tested under real-life conditions. The glass roof withstood such testing without any difficulty – including the approximately 1,300 Kelvin of heat, under which the element only heats up by 140 Kelvin on the outside. In doing so, it retains its full function, which prevents fire from spreading further.

More light and more climate protection

The skylight Lamilux Glass Roof Fire Resistance REI60 combines the properties of Lamilux glass roofs with the special fire protection characteristics. The construction piece can be installed as a pitched roof up to 80 degrees. Thanks to improved thermal insulation values and isothermal processes, it contributes to an optimised building energy balance and also ensures a high daylight yield.
