Dovista aims to conquer the French market with Tryba

Danish window and door manufacturer Dovista has officially completed the acquisition of its French competitor Tryba. After receiving all legal approvals and merger clearance, Dovista is now entering Europe's second-largest renovation market for residential buildings.

Tryba will continue as the 13th independent brand in the Dovista portfolio. The French company employs almost 600 people and operates over 300 sales outlets in France and eleven more in Belgium. The company specializes in PVC, PVC/aluminum, and aluminum windows, entrance doors, and pergolas.

"We are very pleased to officially welcome Tryba. This acquisition gives us an immediate and credible presence in the French market and strengthens our ambitions across Western Europe," explains Allan Lindhard Jørgensen, CEO of Dovista.

The acquisition fits in with Dovista's European strategy, following the group's acquisition of Swiss supplier 4B earlier this year. Tryba will continue to operate from France, with both its headquarters and production facilities remaining in the country.

Tryba retains independence and distribution model

Tryba is an established French manufacturer of high-quality PVC, PVC/aluminum, and aluminum windows and entrance doors. Founded in 1980, the company employs over 590 people and has a network of more than 300 sales and consulting offices throughout France and eleven in Belgium.

The company focuses primarily on the residential renovation market. All manufacturing operations are 100% French, ensuring local quality control and reliable deliveries. The headquarters are located in Alsace near the German border, with production sites in Mayenne and Bas-Rhin.

Tryba will retain its established sales model and product range. The main production facility is located in Gundershoffen in Alsace near the German border, with additional sites in Mayenne and Bas-Rhin.

“Becoming part of Dovista opens a promising new chapter for Tryba,” says Marc Daeffler, CEO of Tryba. "We are excited about the opportunities this brings for our customers, employees, and the company. With Dovista's support, we can pursue our growth ambitions and continue to deliver value through quality, scale, and a long-term mindset.“

In an earlier press release, Johannes Tryba expressed his commitment to the deal: ”Joining Dovista would be an important milestone for Tryba, and we would be extremely proud of this step." The CEO and founder of Tryba went on to say: “This would enable us to pursue our ambitious long-term growth plans with renewed vigor. Dovista shares our vision, can help us expand our operations and strengthen our offering, while ensuring continuity for our customers and employees. This would be perfectly in line with our goals for sustainable success, and we would look forward to a bright future together.”

Dovista is wholly owned by VKR Holding A/S and is part of the VKR Group, one of Denmark's most respected manufacturing groups. VKR Holding companies employ around 17,200 people in 38 countries. VKR Holding is a family- and foundation-owned company, with the Villum Foundation as its main shareholder.

Dovista is a European market leader in vertical windows and exterior doors with 13 brands and over 6,000 employees. The Dovista Group comprises several independent brands (Velfac, Rationel, Svenska Fönster, Mockfjärds, Natre, Slovaktual, Dobroplast, EgoKiefer, Wertbau, Weru, OH Industri, and Krone) operating in the European market for vertical windows and exterior doors. Velux and the Dovista Group are both subsidiaries of VKR Holding A/S, a Danish group of companies. However, they operate in different business areas and act independently of each other.
