Holger Geisler of Ceramic Colors Wolbring: Coloured PV glass for the facade

At glasstec 2022, AGC officially launched its new low-CO2 float glass, developed as part of AGC's "Road to Carbon Neutrality". It is said the new glass has a CO2 footprint of less than 7 kg/m2 CO2 for 4 mm thick glass.

Good mood in Düsseldorf: with 936 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors from 119 countries, glasstec once again underlined its reputation as the world's leading trade fair for the glass sector during the four days of the fair.

For this edition of the glasstec trade fair, Forel, a specialist in vertical glass processing, had once again enlarged its stand. According to Forel, it wanted to present itself as one of the "must-see" exhibitors. A number of innovations focussing on automation in IGU production and operational logistics have been presented.

Safe and flexible battery-powered lifting system

According to Bohle, the Liftmaster Quadro Pro models are the first battery-powered lifting systems with GS certification. They thus comply with DIN EN 13155 and are subject to regular product and production audits.

With an area of 1200 m², the Cube in the Coex Cinema in Seoul is one of the largest media facades to have been realised with LOCA. LEDs are integrated into the transparent laminated glass.

Sustainable glass facades and "smart" glass

The experts from H.B. Fuller | Kömmerling have also been presenting their products and solutions for insulating glass production at glasstec. A special focus at the stand of the adhesive and sealant manufacturer was on green architecture and "smart" glass.

Glaston: Producing glass for a sustainable future

In developing its system technology, Glaston focuses on enabling processors to produce more energy-efficient glass. At glasstec, the supplier will also be presenting, among other things, AI-based toughening solutions for glass processors.

In Düsseldorf, Lisec will present the KSD-A, its fastest vertical edging and grinding machine. For glass edge processing, the machine uses circumferential discs for hemming and grinding.
