The investments in the installation of solar modules are paying off for Aliplast: The self-generation of electricity has increased from 977 kilowatt hours in 2023 to 1,364 kilowatt hours in 2024 – a growth of around 40 per cent. The first eight months of 2025 alone saw the generation of 1,335 kilowatt hours.
The share of self-generated solar energy in the company's total energy consumption is also increasing from 10.55 per cent in 2023 to 15.70 per cent in 2024 to 24.35 per cent by August 2025. Aliplast expects the share for 2025 overall be around 20 to 22 per cent, due to lower solar yields in the winter months.
Further expansion planned

The company is not resting on its laurels. “We are currently exploring options for further expanding our solar array,” Aliplast announces. These additional investments are intended to make production even more environmentally friendly and should contribute to a have a positive impact on the overall carbon footprint of Aliplast’s facades, conservatories and other products.
The switch to 100 per cent green electricity is part of Aliplast's comprehensive sustainability strategy. The company has been working for years to reduce its ecological footprint through environmentally friendly products, sustainable packaging, the electrification of transport, machines with heat recovery systems, and reduced water consumption.
Furthermore, in the production of Cradle to Cradle-certified systems, CO₂ emissions from gas consumption are fully offset, earning Aliplast a GOLD rating in this category.
