Fall protection - Keeping it simple

"In addition to adjustability and quick installation, it was very important to us that our new railing system consists of only a few components. We also looked at many systems from the market and were confronted with thick catalogues that made choosing the right components complicated," says Dominik Hinzen, Managing Director of CRL, and adds, "We wanted to do better with CRL Vision true to the motto: Keep it simple!"

One bottom track for all glass thicknesses

Thus, there is only one bottom track for all glass thicknesses from 16.76 mm to 25.52 mm LSG. Depending on the fixing requirements, the aluminium profile is available as a U-version for floor or side fixing. In addition, there is an L-shaped bottom rail with side fixing lug as well as a variant for side fixing in Y cross-section.

The customer selects the installation kit corresponding to the glass thickness used, which includes the matching glass clamps as well as the rear and front rubber seals. Matching corners and end caps as well as cover plates and building connections round off the simply constructed system range in a sensible way.

Simple alignment and installation

The installation and adjustment of CRL Vision is carried out exclusively from the safe side. After the installation of the aluminium profile and the rear rubber, the plastic inserts are inserted according to the thickness of the glass.

The glass is then conveniently aligned and fixed with the glass clamp, which is inserted into a recess in the plastic insert, using hexagon socket screws. With the new system, only 3 fixing clamps per metre are required.

The installation and alignment of the system is done from the safe side. Only 3 clamps per metre are required. When aligning, it is possible to compensate for even large deviations of the substrate.

Since the glass does not stand on movable slides, as in other systems, but is moved from the front, adjustment and secure fixing is possible without exertion using a standard M5 ball head attachment and cordless screwdriver. Subsequent blocking to secure the glass is also completely eliminated.

CRL Vision is approved for both private and public applications and has a general building authority test certificate for 0.5kN or 1.0kN.

In addition, the supplier has had a system statics created for the railing system, which simplifies planning. "With CRL Vision, we are pleased to present a glass railing system that brings numerous advantages for our customers," Dominik Hinzen emphasises. "Simplicity is also the motto here: from system design to installation and adjustment."
