Thanks to the compact design of GEWE Enthermal, the glass can be easily integrated into existing window frames. This makes it the ideal solution for energy-efficient renovations or listed buildings – without the need for major adjustments to frames or fittings. It also significantly improves the energy efficiency of buildings.
Günter Weidemann, owner and managing director of the Schollglas Group: "As a major European glass trading and processing group, we see it as our responsibility to develop glass innovations or identify them on the global market, make them operationally available and actively market them. The strategic exclusive partnership with LuxWall is another important building block in our range of high-quality glass products that can be used to improve the performance of building envelopes.
The insulating performance of GEWE Enthermal is based on patented LuxWall vacuum technology, in which the space between the panes (SZR) is evacuated. With a total thickness of 8 mm, a thermal insulation performance of 0.3 W/m²K can be achieved. The new vacuum units are around a third lighter than conventional triple insulating glass.
A precisely arranged support structure in the space between the panes ensures stability and transparency. The result is durable insulating glass that maintains its high insulation values over many years – with a clear, elegant appearance, according to the supplier.
GEWE Enthermal Plus for more demanding requirements
For more demanding requirements, Schollglas offers an extended product variant with GEWE Enthermal Plus. Ug values of up to 0.25 W/m²K are achieved with an additional functional pane.
The hybrid structures can be individually adapted to project requirements and can be combined with a wide variety of functional glass types – such as safety, solar or heat protection glass, as well as optional bird protection patterns or special coatings.
GEWE Enthermal Plus thus offers maximum flexibility for architects, planners and builders who value a combination of design, energy efficiency and sustainability.
What is behind the cooperation between Schollglas and LuxWall?
According to the glass supplier, the partnership between Schollglas and LuxWall combines European market expertise with American innovative strength. The aim is to make modern insulating glass technologies widely available and to accelerate the transition to energy-efficient, sustainable building envelopes.
The GEWE Enthermal product line is available now. Interested parties can find out more at enthermal@schollglas.com.
