Manufacturer masson is now introducing switchable ConverLight glass for its residential conservatories. This has now been sealed by the partnership with GGW and ChromoGenics. The first conservatory to be realised with switchable glass is now located in an exclusive villa suburb of Hamburg. The glass was manufactured by the Hero Group.

Bringing European expertise to US glass production

Since establishing their presence in the US through an acquisition, Poland-based glass fabricator Press Glass, also active in Europe and the UK, has continued its brisk growth. To support this, the company has recently invested in a Glaston ProL convection control upgrade at its plant in Ridgeway, Virginia.

Thin fire-resistant glass using vacuum glass

At BAU 2023, AGC Pyrobel focused on very slim fire-resistant glass structures with high light transmission and optimised thermal insulation. This is now possible thanks to the combination of Pyrobel with Fineo vacuum glass. Another topic was fire-resistant glass in XXL formats (Pyrobel-T) as well as delicate glass partitions without disturbing mullions.
