Glaston: Producing glass for a sustainable future

In developing its system technology, Glaston focuses on enabling processors to produce more energy-efficient glass. At glasstec, the supplier will also be presenting, among other things, AI-based toughening solutions for glass processors.

In Düsseldorf, Lisec will present the KSD-A, its fastest vertical edging and grinding machine. For glass edge processing, the machine uses circumferential discs for hemming and grinding.

In most cases, the cut edges of glass panes are finished by grinding and polishing. Nowadays, this is usually done mechanically with automatic edge grinding machines. The abrasives used are mostly corundum or diamond.
