In memoriam Karl Lenhardt

Karl Lenhardt passes away at the age of 82 years

When Karl Lenhardt took the courageous step of founding Lenhardt Maschinenbau GmbH in 1966 at the age of 27, it was not yet clear that he would revolutionise insulating glass production.

With his invaluable wealth of ideas, Lenhardt is today regarded as one of the pioneers of insulating glass production and glass processing. The current process for manufacturing insulating glass was co-developed and further developed by him.

A down-to-earth and visionary man of business

More than 150 patents were based on his inventive genius, including the TPS technology, which he introduced to market in 1995 and which is still considered the most flexible insulating glass production technology worldwide.

Karl Lenhardt was always convinced that the success of his company was not only based on his inventive thinking, but predominantly on the personal commitment and expertise of his loyal, long-standing staff. He will always be regarded as a down-to-earth, conscientious, responsible and, above all, visionary man of business.
