The Coating Business Unit (BU) of NorthGlass has developed a new coating line for glass up to 24 m in length – equipped with its own technology and patents. The company aims to consolidate its leading role in the deep processing of ultra-large-format glass.

The development was prompted by the significant increase in demand for large-format facade glass. Recent projects such as the 18.3 m high glass on the R&D building of the Luoyang NorthGlass Advanced Equipment Industrial Park and the 19 m long facade of the culture and arts center in the Chinese city of Anji confirm this trend.
Technological breakthrough for high-end glass facades
According to the company, the new 24-meter coating line was specially designed for use in modern super high-rise buildings.
The result: high-quality glass with excellent color brilliance, light transmission, and reflection values. Even complex coating systems such as triple silver-coated low-E glass can be produced stably on the new line, as the developers emphasize.
The successful development of the new glass coating plant not only strengthens the company's market position in China, but also offers reliable solutions for the increasing demands of the international high-end construction sector. NorthGlass is thus creating the technical prerequisites for the next generation of large-format, high-performance glass facades.
