CMS’ new Smartline water jet cutting system

One of the standout features of the Smartline is its open frame structure with electric gantry and integrated linear guides, housed within a sturdy tank. This design not only ensures easy access to the worktable but also facilitates quick and effortless loading and removal of materials. The use of hardened and ground rack and pinions for the movement of all axes provides precision and reliability, while thermowelded bellows and protective panels safeguard critical components from water and dust.

Moreover, the Smartline boasts several advantages that set it apart from traditional water jet cutting systems. It allows access to the cutting area from three sides, streamlining the loading and unloading process. Additionally, the inclusion of a catch tank with special anti-rust ceramic painting drastically reduces maintenance costs by up to 91 per cent, thanks to compatibility with the new Evo 4 chain dredge for the removal of exhausted abrasives.

In terms of performance, the Smartline delivers outstanding results with rapid speeds of up to 50 m/min and acceleration of up to 3 m/s2, ensuring productivity in both 3- and 5-axis configurations. This is further complemented by its superior price/performance ratio, offering a smart investment solution that can be tailored to meet the specific needs of any glass processing application.
