Hörmann: Our favourite place in the new house

When it came to planning, building and selecting the fittings of their new house, the two of them had very specific ideas what they wanted. And because Marina often deals with interior design and style issues as a blogger, every choice was made wisely – including when it came to the construction components. They both decided on products by Hörmann for their front entrance and garage door.

We all known that the first impression counts – and in Marina and Vitali’s new construction this is strikingly stylish and tastefully designed. A house exudes harmony when the exterior and the interior match each other. Anthracite, which is currently very much in vogue, is therefore found on the windows, front door and garage door. The colour matches perfectly with the warm wood interior as well as the furnishings and decoration in white and grey. Many details underline the interior design blogger’s affinity for modern elegance. Openness and transparency create a modern ambience, and this includes the spacious floor plan, the full oak parquet flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows.

If you ask building owners what they are particularly proud of in their homes, they will usually lead you into the living room, kitchen or bathroom. Not with Marina and Vitali. Both are particularly taken by their entrance area with the large, prestigious hallway. “The Hörmann front door and the single-flight staircase are some of our favourite parts of
the house,” agree the two owners.

The glazed side element and the glazing cut-out of the front door also allow plenty of daylight into the rooms. “We love our bright entrance area and often enjoy the view outside,” explains Marina, referring to another finesse: “The concealed hinges on our front door make a big difference visually, so that it looks even more exclusive and more modern”. Security and a pleasant living environment also ensure the feel-good factor inside the home.

Openness and transparency are evident all over the entrance area of the new house. The single-flight staircase seems to be floating in space.

Building is in Marina’s blood. Her parents built several houses and many family members are employed in the construction industry. Therefore, almost inevitably, the planning, the shell and a large part of the interior work were done under her direction. But the 'tour de force' was worth it. After nine months, the young family was able to move into their tailor-made home.
