3 questions for FRONTALE boss Elke Harreiß

"Anyone still wanting to register needs to act quickly"

GW-News: Ms Harreiß, how are preparations for Fensterbau Frontale 2024 going?

Elke Harreiß: Around four months before the event, everything is starting to become so tangible and specific that the anticipation is growing noticeably among us and in the industry. The preparations are going really well. Together with our conceptual sponsors and partners, we have put together an exciting specialist programme.

We are also very pleased about the great commitment of exhibitors from all over the world, as 92 per cent of the exhibition space has already been booked. Despite the gloomy state of the construction industry in Germany, all the relevant key players are back on board and the internationality is, as usual, very high. The entire value chain for windows, doors and facades is therefore comprehensively covered.

We assume that Fensterbau Frontale 2024 will once again be the most important international meeting place for the industry, enabling companies to position themselves well for the future. This means that anyone who still wants to book one of the few available spaces should contact us quickly. This also applies to the "Young Innovators" joint stand sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). The registration deadline ends in mid-January.

GW-News: What highlights can visitors expect at Fensterbau Frontale 2024?

The list of highlights is really very long again this year. Trends, innovations and impulses for tomorrow in the areas of renovation, serial construction, digitalisation, climate-safe construction, sustainability and energy efficiency will not only be covered by the exhibitors, but also by an extensive specialist programme. From the special show Climate-safe Construction to the 11th Architecture-Window-Facade Forum under the motto "Rebuild-able – Design – Durability – Resilience", the specialist programme covers all current trends and issues in the industry - there is something for everyone here. Let me highlight a few by way of example. In the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE FORUM, which we have organised with the associations and partners, there will be keynote speeches on current industry topics such as window installation, ventilation, refurbishment and recycling on all four days of the trade fair. The Expert Talks, which were launched in 2022, will be continued here.

A new feature is the JobMatch stand in cooperation with mehrmacher. Here, a decisive and innovative contribution is made to the recruitment of skilled workers through the reverse recruiting approach. This means that companies apply to skilled workers with their vacancies. The companies present themselves on site as an attractive employer, while skilled workers can register and receive personalised job offers. A great concept. The highly successful "DIGITALISATION PRACTICALLY DESIGNED for the skilled trades" forum (in German) will take place for the second time since 2022. Practical pitches, interviews and discussions will show craft businesses their individual path to digitalisation.

As you can see, it's definitely worth coming along. The ticket shop for Fensterbau Frontale is also already open. Interested visitors can already secure their trade fair ticket online in advance at: www.frontale.de/tickets. A little tip: You can also visit HOLZ-HANDWERK with your ticket.

GW-News: How can visitors keep up to date in the months leading up to the trade fair?

The best way for both exhibitors and visitors to stay up to date until the event is to visit our website regularly and follow us on our social media channels Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. Always use the hashtag #fensterbaufrontale when you post. In December, a special campaign awaits the community on Instagram: the AdFENSTcalendar shortens the 24 days before Christmas. Find out what's hidden behind the doors!

If you want to get an even deeper insight behind the scenes, our "For a coffee with..." format is the perfect place for you. Once a month, our events team provides information on various topics relating to the trade fair. Completely free of charge, without a camera or microphone for the participants, short and just under 15 minutes. Just sit back, relax with a coffee and listen! You can find the registration details on our homepage or on LinkedIn.
