We’ve been her before: In 1973, a global energy crisis had already directed focus to the energy efficiency of buildings. With the Thermal Insulation Ordinance of 1977, single-pane glass was banned, coated insulating glass quickly became the standard and the Uw value dropped substantially.

Qatar National Library: A diamond in the dessert
