Triple insulating glass

What Glaston‘s new IGU sealing machine has to offer

GW-News: How does the new system stand out from other solutions on the market?

Uwe Risle: The Active'Sealer is an addition to the automatic sealers product range. To put it in automotive jargon, it is the "A-Class", while our Speed'Sealer is the "S-Class". The new Active'Sealer is positioned for the middle market segment. It can be used for 1 to 3-sided stepped IG units with units up to 60 mm thick, as this is sufficient for two types of glass.

GW-News: Which target group are you addressing with the system?

The main target group for the Active'Sealer is customers worldwide who predominantly manufacture two-cavity units, and there are many of them. Glaston would like to offer a cost-effective variant for these markets in particular, as our Speed'Sealer is somewhat 'oversized' for these markets. Another target group are customers who would like to have a second system in their production, e.g. as a 'back-up'.

The new Active'Sealer is available in three configurations: Light, Standard and Extended.

GW-News: The Active'Sealer is available in three versions, what are they exactly?

As far as the variants are concerned, the difference lies in the different lengths: In the Light version, insulating glass units can be sealed up to a maximum length of 3.50 metres, in the Standard version up to a maximum length of 4.00 metres and in the Extended version up to a maximum length of 5.00 metres. The dimensions have been deliberately chosen so that customers with limited space can be offered a suitable solution.
