Glass processing:

The 400th Lisec KSR seaming line goes to Sardinia

Nobento, with its headquarters and production in Alghero (Sardinia), has grown considerably in recent years. While the company employed 20 people in 2015, it now employs 250 people and will have generated a turnover of 27 million euros in 2021.

Within this relatively short period of time, the machinery has also been steadily expanded. The latest investment is something special not only for Nobento, but also for Lisec: the 400th unit sold of the KSR seaming line manufactured by Lisec now adds to Nobento's machine inventory. The company has relied on Lisec glass machines since its foundation.

What do those responsible expect from Lisec?

Nobento has its own glass production to be independent of suppliers.

Andrea Alessandrini, CEO of Nobento, comments. "We expect the highest level of quality and, after all, that is exactly what our customers expect from us. The fact that Lisec is so important to us is partly because their machines meet these quality requirements without restriction, and partly because the service life of their products is really impressive."

In addition, his team appreciates the possibility of support from the online maintenance service Lisec.eye, as this platform significantly reduces the time required to rectify causes.

When asked about his goals, the Nobento CEO says: "We are already working on increasing productivity and doubling glass production capacity by 2025," says Gianmaria Ricciuto. With the KSR glass edge grinder, all four sides of a pane can be measured and edged fully automatically.

Very happy with the 400th KSR

When asked about the new KSR, Andrea Alessandrini says: "We are happy that this investment gives both companies a reason to celebrate. The choice of machine is ultimately decided by my employees. For my team, the KSR from Lisec is clearly the best solution to be able to continue producing successfully and with high quality in the future."

The machine, made of stainless steel, can be easily integrated into any production line. Thanks to the long service life of the grinding belts, the KSR system is the perfect addition to an insulating glass line or for combination with a tempering furnace.

A look into the future with Nobento

"Innovation is driven by the needs of the market and the resulting demand," says CEO Andrea Alessandrini. Externally, modern windows hardly differ from the products of the 1980s, but from a technical point of view, today's windows are in a completely different league.

In order to be able to meet the demand for ever better and higher quality products, it is necessary - especially with regard to the company's own machinery - to work with a first-class and industry-leading partner. "It is through a strong partnership, such as that with Lisec, that it will continue to be possible to solve issues of innovation and automation together and face these exciting technical challenges in the future."
