Schüco Fire Resist

How Schüco supports processors in fire protection

Schüco Fire Resist is a Germany-wide offering from the Bielefeld-based building specialist for the seamless integration of needs-based fire protection in existing and new buildings – with virtually no aesthetic restrictions. Schüco provides support and advice at every stage with tailor-made products and services.

Background: Legal regulations, such as state building codes, and the legally compliant and seamless integration of these regulations into building planning, implementation, and operation make preventive fire protection complex. The assumption of responsibility and liability risks by various parties is also crucial.

Schüco offers process- and legally compliant solutions for the implementation of fire and smoke protection in buildings.

Schüco offers process- and legally compliant solutions for the implementation of fire and smoke protection in buildings.

This is where Schüco Fire Resist comes in, helping to make legally compliant decisions and minimize risks and costs. Schüco fire and smoke protection systems protect buildings from damage caused by the spread of fire and smoke. The solutions resist fire and heat and ensure smoke-free areas through smoke shielding and smoke extraction.

For greater safety in the event of a fire, Schüco considers the entire process chain and provides support at every stage with tailor-made products and services – starting with the analysis, through the planning and implementation of the construction project, to the subsequent operation of the building.

Needs-based fire protection with Schüco

During the planning stage, Schüco reduces complexity by translating requirements into technical solutions that integrate seamlessly into the building design.

During the planning stage, Schüco reduces complexity by translating requirements into technical solutions that integrate seamlessly into the building design.

In the first phase, the “Analysis to Resist” analysis, Schüco provides support in deriving needs-based fire and smoke protection measures in existing buildings.

To do this, the installation situations of doors, windows, facades, and gates are recorded, technically necessary configurations are developed, and advice is provided on building connections. This enables well-founded decisions to be made in order to combine legal safety requirements with long-term value retention in the best possible way.

Planning support for metal fabricators

During the “Design to Resist” planning phase, Schüco translates the complex requirements into technical solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into the building design – in compliance with legal requirements, specific to the project, and with great design freedom. Schüco offers comprehensive consulting and services that enable technical specifications to be quickly defined and uncertainties and planning risks to be minimized at an early stage.

Safe implementation of fire protection

Schüco also offers process- and legally-compliant solutions for the implementation (“Build to Resist”) of fire and smoke protection in buildings. Comprehensively tested system or special solutions enable fire protection to be implemented in accordance with standards. The result is systems and services that reliably prevent the spread of fire and smoke. These include fire and smoke protection training, fire protection support for building regulations, systems, and special solutions, as well as project-related type approvals.

With “Maintain to Resist,” Schüco enables safe and smooth building operation through regular inspections and maintenance, including the necessary documentation—in compliance with all legal standards, legally compliant, and digitally accessible at all times, as the company emphasizes.

New fire door from Schüco

With the new Schüco FireStop ADS 90 FR 90-CE fire door, the Bielefeld-based system manufacturer is expanding its portfolio with a solution for exterior use offering 90 minutes of fire protection.

What makes it special is that the CE-classified door system combines invisible fire protection with stability and lightness. This is because the new fire-resistant glass significantly reduces the weight of the door. At the same time, the system scores highly with the highest mechanical strength in class 4 for areas of application with particularly high loads.  Details on the new fire door can be found here.
