Window installation at dizzying heights

-

Window installation at 2,244 metres also places particularly high demands on the products. Several superlatives apply to the mountain station of the Karwendel cable car, and the window installation was also particularly challenging - but with illbruck sealing components, the elements could be installed quickly.

Gutmann recently presented its new wood-aluminium element facade for high-rise buildings. Behind the two-stage installation lies the innovation: the eventual structural performance is only achieved when the aluminium chassis is connected to the timber support shell.

A two-stage window installation with installation frame offers many advantages.
Window frame:

12 ways that two-stage window installation is better

-

Two-stage installation means driving to the construction site twice. At first, this sounds like extra work, but it's not - on the contrary. Here in this article, you will learn 12 advantages for the two-stage installation process with an efficient pre-frame.

By using suction plate covers, marks can be avoided even on coated glass.
Vacuum lifting:

Lifting glass without leaving vacuum cup marks

-

When glass panes are used in the glass and window industry, vacuum cups are usually used. It is not uncommon for everything to seem fine at first after the glass has been installed, but when the glass pane condenses, suction marks become visible that cannot be easily removed. To avoid this, euroTech has developed a suction plate cover. GW-News wanted to know from Head of Sales, Michael Renger, how this works.

Glossary

Wooden windows

-

Manufactured and constructed according to the current state of the art, wooden windows are very durable building elements with very good structural-physical properties and excellent conditions for thermal insulation.

Glossary

Laminated Glass:

-

Laminated glass is made of two pieces of regular or tempered glass sandwiched around a layer of clear plastic film (PVB).

Glossary

Insulating Glass Units (IGUs)

-

Insulating glass (IG) consists of two or more glass panes separated by an air or gas-filled space to reduce heat transfer/loss across the windows or doors (in case of glass doors) of the building envelope.

U-Value

-

The U-value assesses the rate of heat loss or gain through all the layers of the combined elements that make up a building component such as a wall, floor or roof.

Narrow sash profiles allow for larger glass surfaces. This results in up to 20% more glass and thus more daylight compared to conventional systems.
