Transparent spacers:

Dow presents a spacer that is almost invisible

Dowsil Crystal Clear Spacer is a pre-formed material that forms a chemical bond with the glass within minutes of application. The spacer is said to be easy to install and eliminates the need for adhesive tapes to hold it in place, offering fabricators improved productivity in insulating glass production.

Why is this transparent spacer better?

The flexibility of the spacer allows for the production of both flat and curved insulating glass. An additional feature is the low thermal conductivity of the silicone spacer. The dimensions of the spacers can be tailored to specific design and customer requirements.

In addition, the spacer can be used for interior glass applications, including glass doors as well as sliding doors of commercial refrigerators in shops and supermarkets, where full visibility and high light transmission at the glass edge helps to improve the presentation of goods.
