BAU 2023 - trade fair for architecture, building materials and systems

Asca presents building-integrated PV solutions in Munich

Blue, green, red or grey. Combined with glass, polycarbonate, ETFE plastics or textiles. From round to diamond-shaped: Asca's customised solutions can be integrated into a wide variety of building materials without compromising architectural design choices. The spectrum of colours and transparency levels is huge because, unlike conventional silicon solar modules, Asca's solutions are customisable, flexible and transparent.

Activating the building envelope

In addition to this, the lightweight and flexible technology can be laminated into components of facades, balustrades or shading systems. The solar film based on organic materials activates the building envelope, is 100 % recyclable and can be produced without the use of rare earths. BIPV solutions have a very low environmental footprint, contribute to the decarbonisation of buildings, improve their carbon footprint and support the energy transition.

From media facades to glass balustrades

At the BAU trade fair in Munich, Asca will present some of its integration options and showcase recent projects. These include the unique media facade with more than 10,000 diamond- and triangle-shaped solar modules in ten different sizes at the Novartis Pavilion in Basel (Switzerland), a 222 square metre solar facade for an administration building in Gronau (Germany) and Asca's first project with glass balustrades in a large-scale residential building.
