Bruno Humblet, CEO of Deceuninck: "In the more than 80 years of its existence, Deceuninck has developed into a globally active manufacturer. Setting up a company in Croatia 20 years ago was an exceptional business decision. Today, our partners in the region and in Italy are supplied directly from Zagreb. The opening of a new facility, the unification of all business processes, state-of-the-art equipment and the experience of our employees will enable the further growth of this important market for us."

Growth at all levels

Each year, Deceuninck's production facilities laminate more than eight million metres of film onto PVC profiles, which are exported to markets across Europe. "Our new plant in Donja Bistra has 17,000 square metres of floor space and allows for a further increase in capacity to eleven production lines, higher efficiency, but also a first-class level of service to more than 500 partners in Europe. The increase in production capacity also creates additional jobs. We currently employ 160 people in Croatia and the plan is to create another 40 jobs by the end of the year," said Josip Klasić, Managing Director of Deceuninck in Croatia.

Outstanding commitment to sustainability

The new plant was built with state-of-the-art equipment and materials that save energy and do not harm the environment, and was therefore awarded the A+ energy rating. In addition, the construction of a dedicated solar power plant at the production building is planned.
